All praise and blessings be to Allah as befits His glory and the greatness of His power. Peace and blessing be upon our prophet Muhammad sallallahualayhiwasallam, the most noble of the prophets and messengers, whom Allah sent to bring life to the Arabs and the mercy to the world.
Dear brothers/sisters in Islam I am very glad to share with you this amazing article which is about Dua. So what is the Dua means?
Dua’ means to ask Allah directly for something. There is nothing that Allah cannot do, therefore Dua is basically the means of asking the creator to do something and Allah is capable of doing each and everything imaginable and the things that are beyond belief for the human mind. Rasullullahsallalahualayhiwasalam used to turn to Allah for every matter in life be it small orbig. Sometimes there are bad conditions in the world; we tend to ask ourselves questions about why the Muslims are being punished? And why we are being oppressed? Why is it happening to us like this? We make so much Dua to Allah very often and in the end we don't see the fruits of our Dua. The question which tends to arise is why are our Dua's not being accepted? We get caught in the clear trap of Shaytaan and start to think, ‘Why isn't Allah doing as we want him to do? We feel that we are making Dua but nothing is happening. The reason behind this attitude is that as human we tend to always want to do things in a hurry.
Whenever you encounter hardships in life, remember that this is Allah’s plan for you. The outcomes of His plans are always a great blessing.Don't stop making Dua even though you sin. Allah even answered the Dua of Shaytan, when Iblees said "grant me respite until the Day of Judgment", as a mentioned in the glorious Qur’aan . As weak Muslims we don't seem to stay steadfast. We commit sins but don't feel this could be a reason why our Dua's are failing to be answered. We expect them to be accepted before we even finish them!If we look at the lives of the Prophets Alayhis Salaam we will find that even though they were free from sin, still their Dua's weren't granted straight away. Prophet Musa Alayhi salaam prayed for approximately forty years, only then did Allah answer his Dua's. Not only Prophet Musa but also The Prophet Ayyub is another example, according to some Ulama, his Dua's were finally accepted after seventy years of calmly waiting. We need to notice the fact that he didn't once lose hope and become disheartened, but remained steadfast. On calling towards Allah, practicing patience and making Dua for their needs to be fulfilled.
The secret to a happy life is giving Allah(swt) the first part of your day, the first priority to every decision and the first place in your heart. You may have wronged a million times, but what Allah need from you is Tawbah, He loves it. His doors of mercy are always open for you. Allah SWT says in the glorious Qur’aan:“When My servants ask you (O Muhammad)about me (tell them) verily I am close (to them), I listen to the prayer of everyone who calls on Me. So let them respond to me and believe in Me in order that they may be guided a right.” (al-Baqarah 2:186).
Our beloved Prophet salla’Allahu ‘alayhiwasalam said:
“Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than any one of you is pleased by finding his camel, lost in the desert”.
When you fear the creation, you run away from it, but when you fear the Creator, you feel close to Him and run towards Him. ―Ibn al Qayyim–. Have you ever made a du'a that was accepted? If you have, do you understand what it means?" It means you spoke to Allah; He listened to you, bestowed His love upon you and accepted it. The impossible is possible for Allah (swt) be, and it is.So why do we lose hope for making dua and repentance?
The Almighty answers every call of ours for as long as we don’t lose hope. We must continue seeking enthusiastically even if it means for years. Repeating a call constantly is a GREAT act of worship. One day, when the time is right, we will get what we had been asking for all along. Never lose hope in the Mercy of the Almighty, as He knows when it is best for us to get what we want, if it is good for us. Those who aim to please the Creator will always be pleased by Him. He never lets us down but we let ourselves down by engaging in sin.Dua is one of the most powerful forms of worship. Allah hears you no matter what language you speak, all you have to do is ask. Raise your hands with hope, bow with humility and ask with conviction. Almighty Allah is there for you.
“When you make dua, it is a sign that Allah loves you and has intended good for you.”
- Ibn Al Qayyim”.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Du'a (supplication) is worship."
[Abu Dawud].
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The supplication most often recited by the Prophet (ﷺ) was: “(O our Rubb! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire)."'
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
There is no greater comfort than knowing that Allah knows and understands how we feel, the struggles, the heartaches, the constrictions, the troubles, the obstacles we are facing. He is aware, He sees and hears everything. All prayers, thoughts and requests are heard, but He provides what's best for us, and His timing is perfect. Not ours. Dua is a Noble spiritual form of worship in which a person calls out to Allah (swt) of any and every type of help both for this world and the next.
The prophet sallalahualayhiwasalam said: “Dua is the
Weapon of a Muslim”.
We pray that AllaahAzzaWaJall enlighten our hearts with His Love, protect us from the temptations of Iblees, guide us with His Knowledge and forgive us with His Abundant Mercy.
O Allah! Let us see the good as good, and bless us with following it. And show us the falsehood as falsehood, and bless us with staying away from it, with your mercy, O Most Merciful.
May Allah SWT guide us to the right path and accept our Dua and forgive us our sins aameenYaa Allah.
